The CISCO 94 Boys join with Americans across our great nation saluting the accomplishments of all the members of the Armed Forces who served in combat during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and we continue to offer encouragement and support for the troops currently serving in Iraq, under difficult and dangerous conditions.
Victory was made possible through the heroic service of all those who served under difficult conditions in a hostile country far from home. These men and women who risked their lives during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and those who gave their lives in service to our nation, have inspired their fellow Americans through their courage and dedication, and their contributions will be forever remembered by a grateful nation.
After days of thinking about Pat Tillman's death, I can't quite bring myself to see the act of resigning from a lucrative job with the Arizona Cardinals as any more selfless than the average GI's willingness to put the stock of his own existence at risk, along with his family's future. If America wants to make heroes of its military dead, surely they are all heroes equally.

Army Spc. James J. Holmes, 28, of East Grand Forks, Minn. Died in Landstuhl, Germany, from injuries sustained on May 3 in Iraq when an improvised explosive device detonated near the driver side of his military vehicle. Assigned to C Company, 141st Engineer Combat Battalion, North Dakota National Guard, Hettinger, N.D.
Army Spc. Isela Rubalcava, 25, of El Paso, Texas. Died in Mosul, Iraq, when a mortar round hit near her. Assigned to the 296th Combat Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team), Fort Lewis, Wash.

Army Pfc. Jesse R. Buryj, 21, of Canton, Ohio. Died in Karbala, Iraq, when his military vehicle was struck by a dump truck whose driver had been shot while trying to run through a control point. Assigned to the 66th Military Police Company, Fort Lewis, Wash.

Had been unaccounted for since April 9, in Iraq, when his convoy came under attack by individuals using rocket-propelled grenades and small arms fire. On April 23 his remains were identified.
